Bronte Country Through The Seasons

The start of a year long journey

It has been formulating in my mind for quite some time now. To embark on a year long project of documenting the seasons throughout Bronte Country. No one day is ever the same out on the moors let alone a season. I am out most mornings, even in the brutalist of weather. Both Haworth and Stanbury moors offer up some of the best walks around Haworth with some pretty amazing stunning scenery.

This blog is more of a monthly journal describing the comings and goings in and around Haworth & Stanbury moors. The changing weather, the arrival and departure of the migrating birds, our resident wildlife too. The changing hues across the landscape.

I hope you enjoy reading about this journey as much as I am going to enjoy writing about it.

I think my favourite time of the year in Bronte Country has got to be early spring when we see the arrival of the ground nesting birds such as the Curlews and Lapwings.

Hearing the evocative call of the curlews as they saunter through the air and the almost electronic sound of the lapwings as they dart through the sky. It is just magical.
